Our favorite season in Chengdu is right around the corner.  What better way to mark the transition than a group night ride around the city and some good times with friends and strangers all with an affection for bikes.  Oh, and there will be beer too!  This month we’re partnering with a newly opened mircrobrewery in Yulin to serve as our start and finish location.  8-9 O’clock German Beer Workshop (八九点德啤工坊) brews 4 types of beer and offers it at insanely fair prices.  Somewhat unique to Chengdu is that the offer it by the bottle or bag in 1, 2, or 3 litre volumes.

Natooke was featured in Tourism World which is a magizine devoted to finding the best spots in Beijing. A section is devoted to the Wudoaying Hutong which, along with a range of cool vintage stores, is Natooke. The Urban Biking Initiative Bike to JUE

City Weekend, in its March 6-19 2014 edition, featured a piece on an urban biking initiative “Bike to JUE”, which took place during the JUE Music + Art events. The initiative was a collaborative effort by Split Works, NLGX, and Natooke with a simple premise: ride your bike to select JUE events, collect stamps and win prizes. It was a great little initiative to help promote preserving the environment and to reduce the stress of navigating the Dashilan’r hutongs!

YOHO! Featuring a Look into the World of Bike Polo

The December, 2013, edition of YOHO! featured a look into the world of bike polo, the game that is back in Beijing and other cities around China. The article looks into how to play and the equipment each rider needs. There is specific mention to RibCap helmets which are in stock down at the Natooke shop and our online store. After the reader gets familiar with the rules of engagement there is a great interveiw with Ines Brunn, the grand master of bike polo, where she discusses everything the reader needs to know about getting started.
