We will be riding to Huanglongxi River this Saturday, March 26th. The average riding speed will be about 25km/h.
As the crow flies, Huanglongxi River is about 36km from Chengdu. However we’ll be sticking to the more interesting country roads. It’s a beautiful place to ride but expect about 90km round trip.
Last week our friend Daniel got tipped off to our shop. He’s new to town and was looking for a good way to get around, but was hoping to do so on a budget.
You can’t tell by looking at it, but the frame, the cranks, the pedals and a number of other parts on this bike are second hand. With a few new pieces to keep this build within a budget, Daniel walked away with a unique new ride.

These old frame are super well-constructed. A vestige of a bygone era when everyone needed a dependable bike for getting around, they still hold up after decades of use.
A rad thing about bikes is unless you completely trash the frame, you can use it indefinitely. At the shop now we’ve got a good selection of used frames and forks that allow you to build up a complete bike for as little as 800元. Sounds too good to be true, right?
