Every Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. we play polo together at Worker’s Gymnasium West Gate. Feel free to join us.

It is well known that every bicycle rider in Beijing talks about the air quality. Now the Serk’s “I’m In” is a software to help predict clean air days so that groups can schedule their bike rides on those days. About 48hours before good air is predicted, a message is sent out. Currently Serk is organizing morning rides for both fast and slower cyclists. Serk’s next Cycling Escape is taking place this weekend Aug. 31-Sep. 1st.

On a hot and sunny Sunday morning over 1000 bike enthusiasts made their way down to the Beijing Chaoyang Sports Center in order to get themselves into the Fixed Gear Open. Such is the caliber of the event that people came from all over China to attend, 18^th August 2013 was etched into their schedules as soon as the event was announced, snatching up one of the tickets to get in as soon as they became available.

On a hot and stuffy Friday night 40 specially invited riders made their way down to the Olympic Forest to take part in a hotly anticipated Criterium race, with many of the competitors in town for the weekend’s Fixed Gear Open 5. Read more

Fixed Gear Open 5 is coming! Many fixed gear fans all around China have registered for this event. In order to maintain the competition boundaries, we have had to limit the number of spectators who can enter into the competition area. Now you should book a free ticket online in advance. When successful, you can get an entrance ticket on that day. Contestants who have already signed up do not need to book.

In an underground movement that is quite literally picking up a lot of pace, David Erwin known as the messenger by his colleagues here at Natooke, recently participated in an unofficial race consisting of 24 other hardcore cyclists on the 3rd of August. Promotion of the event was raised by his bike group ‘Big Dirty’ through social media website Weibo and within the time frame of 12 hours, 40 places were soon confirmed. David, pictured on the right, sat down at the Natooke office to give us a deeper insight into the current trend in the underground Beijing racing scene and to describe to us how he pulled off his very impressive 2nd place finish.
