Ines did not only get to watch the bike race, but had the honour of getting a behind the scenes look at the Tour de France. The most exciting part was to meet the cyclists and be just with them. She got to meet Chinese hero Ji Cheng on the morning of stage 11 and wished him good luck. Ines also saw the technical set up of the event and drove on the course. Everywhere there were super fancy bikes and super strong legs that got Ines very excited.

The Smarter Than Car Panda (known from the Tour of Beijing and other professional bike races) showed up at the Tour de France to raise awareness and promote the bicycle life in Beijing. The panda is an endagered species just like the cyclists in Chinese cities. The panda watched the Tour de France and could be spotted entertaining crowds before the departure and then cheering for the cyclists 50km after departure in a village called Ville Morgan near Belleville.

Friday has been a busy day for both the World Health Organization and Natooke. After the ride to the Great Hall of People with his Natooke bike, Dr. Bernhard Schwartländer, representative of the World Health Organization, handed over the 12 white and blue Natooke bicycles to promote the Healthy Thousands of Miles Journey program.
This WHO program, with the help of certain governmental associations, will see volunteer bikers riding around more then 100 cities all over China, to promote a healthier and more climate friendly lifestyle.
So follow the World Health Organization advice: stay healthy, stay green, and opt for a bike ride!
