New Year’s Count Down Ride

It was a marvelous New Year’s Eve. We rode our bicycles along Wangfujing and took pictures at the Wangfujing church, we continued on Changan boulevard, passing by the Forbidden City, and Xidan. Around 10pm, we arrived at the China Millennium Monument and stayed there until the countdown. On the occasion of the New Year’s countdown a beam of light titled “Light of Beijing” lit up at the China Millennium Monument. The amazing light beam was 11 meters diameter and supposedly reached 5,000 meters high up in the and was visible to people all over the capital.
