An art exhibition entitled On Sharks & Humanity aided by international environmentalist group WildAid comes to Beijing, announced Art Action, an art organization belonging to the Parkview Group.
Works from 11 Chinese contemporary artists will be shown to explore the relationship between the human race and a key player in the oceanic ecosystem: sharks.
The exhibition looks to challenge humanity’s fear of and prejudice towards sharks and display the importance that protecting sharks plays when maintaining the balance of the marine ecosystem.
“We hope to provide the truth about the shark fin trade, and how overfishing has become a severe threat to some specific species of shark. The only solution is to reduce consumer demand,” said Zi Wen, chief representative of WildAid in China.
Chairman of the Parkview Group Huang Jianhua stated, “This is an environmental issue that relates to all of us. Through artists’ interpretation, the On Sharks & Humanity art exhibition will resonate with visitors better than science literature could.”
From Aug 21st to Sep 27th, as long as bike to Parkview Green for the exhibition, the first 20 people can get the limited GOblue gifts everyday! Bikes, T-shirt, drawstring backpack, water bottle etc. You can’t miss it. If you don’t have a bike, you could rent one from Natooke.
