Countryside Ride on April 8th

20160525-countryside-2

Now that winter is definitely behind us 2017’s countryside ride’s are back.  This month we’ll be exploring the eastern portion of Shuangliu.  The route begins near the beginning of the Cheng-Zi-Lu Expressway and meanders south through farms and rolling countryside through some of the closest rural areas and farmland surrounding Chengdu’s urban centre.

We pass through a traditional Chinese rural village, an endless network of small country roads and farms before continuing towards Taiping where we’ll catch the end of a traditional country market and stop for lunch.

After lunch we’ll continue riding a loop northwards past Tiantai Mountain Loquat Ecological Park and along the edge of the Longquan Mountain range towards Longquanyi.  The van will be waiting for us there to take us back to the city.

In the morning, you must arrive at Natooke by 8:30 a.m on Ariple 8th, prepared to depart.  Once we’ve loaded up all the riders bicycles we depart at 9:00 a.m. sharp.  If you are not at Natooke at the time of departure we will not wait.  If you miss the ride due to tardiness we will not issue a refund.

The fee ¥240 to register for the countryside ride.  If you need a bicycle, we can provide a purpose built touring bike for an additional ¥100.
The fee covers:
A scouted route.  The route is pre-planned and ridden in advance so the ride will be nothing but smooth sailing.

A guide.  There is a trained guide who will lead the group.  There’s no getting lost!

Transportation.  This includes transportation to and from the start and finish of the ride.

Water and snacks.

Lunch.  After the ride we’ll have a big lunch before packing in for the return trip.
