This is the next in continuation of this summer’s countryside rides wherein we explore the outlying areas of Chengdu.  You ready to escape the heat and the sound of the city?  Well plan on joining us on Saturday, June 11 for a day of riding in the rural reaches of the Sichuan basin. 

The ride itself will begin in Ziyang, roughly 150km outside of Chengdu.  From there we will ride the rolling hills and sleepy shady backroads towards Sancha Lake.  After circumnavigating Sancha, we’ll summit Tiantai Mountain located in the Longquan Mountains before dropping back into the nearside of the range.  The ride will finish up in Taiping Village.

This route is approximately 70km. We’ll organize vehicles to take us out to the start and bring riders back to Natooke from Taiping after lunch. We’ll meet at 7:30 a.m. and depart Natooke at 8 a.m. sharp.
To join for this ride you must register in advance. You can either register at Natooke or via WeChat. The cost is RMB¥240. If you need to rent a bicycle, please add RMB¥100. You must register by June 8th.

The ride will continue as planned despite the weather.  Only in the event that the weather poses a safety risk to participants will the ride be cancelled.

That said, get ready for a month of great riding and exploring the beautiful countryside surrounding Chengdu!
