China's First Fixed Gear Bicycle Event organized by Beijing Fixed Gear (北京死飞) In 2009 the Beijing Fixed Gear group organized the first ever fixed gear bike event held in China. The event was a huge success with fixed gear riders from Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Hongkong as well as Beijing attending. It was a full weekend packed with an alleycat race, bike polo matches, track standing competitions, bike trick competitions as well as skidding competitions rounded off by parties. Also the event included the first ever screening of bicycle films (mostly courtesy of the Bicycle Film Festival) in China. |  |
